Toronto police are seeking witnesses after a jaywalker was critically injured in Scarborough on Sunday night.
Police say a 48-year-old man was crossing Warden Avenue about 100 metres north of Finch Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. when he was struck in the middle of the road by a northbound vehicle.
The victim was taken to Sunnybrook Hospital with life-threatening head injuries and is in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
Police are not releasing the identity of the victim until they can notify his relatives, believed to be in China.
